ROOM ACOUSTICS | |
Public Spaces |
When the
acoustics of a room is designed right, the sound, music or speech, is
perceived by everyone in the assistance, without rising the volume.
Consequently, chances of disturbing the neighbourhood are minimised without
giving up on acoustic performance.
|
Open-plan Offices |
Noise and
background noise level can be controlled to achieve privacy, good hearing
conditions and acoustical comfort for adjacent open offices. It is then
possible to provide a productive pleasing workplace environment where several
persons can work together or communicate in the same room without interfering
with each other. |

BUILDING ACOUSTICS | |
Sound Insulation
|
Nothing
is more annoying than hearing the neighbour music or conversation! To prevent
room-to-room airborne noise transmission, diagnostic tests shall be conducted
to identify, measure and analyse the source of noise and its propagation path.
Then, acoustical products shall be carefully selected and installed to contain
noise at its source or to intercept noise on its route to the receiver. The
installation of an electronic sound masking device also reduces intrusion of
sounds from adjacent areas or mechanical equipment.
|
Vibration Isolation |
Structure-borne noise resulting from footsteps, moving of furniture, building
mechanical systems (HVAC), elevator, can travel through ductworks, walls,
floors and ceilings. It then radiates somewhere else in the building in the
form of airborne noise, disturbing occupants, even if there are located far
from the vibration sources. |
